Margaret Cribb Early Learning is an inclusive and culturally diverse early childhood education center located at the University of Queensland, St Lucia. With a focus on providing the highest quality care and education, the center offers a play-based, emergent curriculum in a natural setting where every child is valued and encouraged to explore their creativity. The dedicated Educators at Margaret Cribb Early Learning work closely with families to create a nurturing environment that feels like a home away from home.
With a brand new, state-of-the-art facility and a beautiful natural playground, Margaret Cribb Early Learning caters to children aged six weeks to five years. The center’s Approved Kindergarten Program is designed to help children transition successfully into school by fostering pre-literacy and numeracy skills, as well as social, emotional, and physical development. Through a variety of engaging activities, including art lessons and excursions, children are encouraged to learn through play and exploration.
Named in honor of Mrs. Margaret Cribb, a distinguished University of Queensland alumna, Margaret Cribb Early Learning has a rich history of providing exceptional care to the community. The center underwent a complete refurbishment after the 2011 floods and relocated to a new facility in 2017 to meet the growing child care needs of the area. Committed to excellence, the center’s highly qualified staff members undergo continuous professional development and adhere to strict child protection regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in their care.
