Welcome to Kensington Community Children’s Co-Operative, a not-for-profit community-based organization that has been proudly educating and caring for children in Kensington and surrounding areas since 1982. Our cooperative model is governed by a committed group of parents and highly qualified staff, ensuring a strong focus on what is best for children rather than profits. We offer a range of programs for children aged 6 weeks to school age, including under 3’s rooms, over 3 long day care programs, and kindergarten programs that cater to individual interests and development.
At Kensington Community Children’s Co-Operative, we provide a safe and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn, discover, and grow. Our programs emphasize child-directed play and learning, driven by each child’s unique interests and curiosity. We invite you to join us for a center tour to experience our 9 rooms and programs in action. Led by our Management team, the tour provides an overview of our cooperative’s philosophy and approach to early childhood education. Families registered on our waitlist are offered available places, and a comprehensive orientation process ensures a smooth transition for children joining our center. We pay our respects to the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation and thank the Elders for sharing their stories with us.
