Xavier Kindergarten, part of Catholic Early EdCare, is dedicated to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for young children to grow socially, individually, respectfully, spiritually, creatively, and confidently. Located at Xavier Catholic College, the kindergarten offers a Queensland Government approved program taught by university qualified early childhood teachers. Children engage in a variety of activities, including visits to the school library, prep classrooms, and playgrounds, fostering a close relationship with the school community.
At Xavier Kindergarten, children participate in play-based programs that focus on developing essential social skills, exploring Australia’s First Nation’s history and culture, and nurturing their spiritual growth. The educators at Xavier encourage children to learn through play, art, song, and storytelling, creating a supportive environment where each child’s uniqueness is celebrated. Through activities like setting up obstacle courses and outdoor play, children learn cooperation, communication, and respect for individuality.
As part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane, Xavier Kindergarten values inclusivity, community engagement, and cultural diversity. With a strong emphasis on building positive relationships with families and the broader school and parish community, Xavier Kindergarten provides a holistic approach to early childhood education that prepares children for future academic and social success. Through a range of programs and activities, children at Xavier Kindergarten are encouraged to explore, discover, and connect with the world around them.
