Woden Early Childhood Centre (WECC) is a community-based childcare facility established in 1986, operating as a non-for-profit incorporated association. The Centre is managed by a dedicated Management Committee comprising current families, staff representatives, and the Centre Director, Reesha. This collaborative approach ensures that decisions are made in the best interest of the children, families, and educators at WECC. The Centre offers part-time and full-time care for children from birth to school age, with a focus on creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners.
At WECC, children have the opportunity to explore various learning areas such as maths, writing, art, library, discovery, sensory play, dramatic play, and blocks. The Centre’s indoor environment is thoughtfully designed to encourage free movement and skill development in a safe and secure setting. Additionally, the Nursery at WECC provides a restful space with designated cots for babies, ensuring each child feels comfortable and supported throughout the day. The Centre’s commitment to sustainability is evident through its active involvement in promoting eco-friendly practices and educating children, families, and the community on the importance of environmental conservation.
With a strong emphasis on creating a second family atmosphere, WECC prides itself on the caring and compassionate relationships between educators, children, and families. The Centre’s Director, Reesha, leads a team of dedicated staff who prioritize each child’s individual needs and interests, fostering a positive learning environment. Testimonials from families highlight the exceptional quality of care and education provided at WECC, emphasizing the positive impact on children’s development and well-being. Through a focus on building confident, respectful, and enthusiastic learners, WECC aims to empower children to embrace challenges and celebrate their achievements with pride.
