Werribee Little Athletics Centre (WLAC) is an integral part of the Little Athletics Victoria community, offering a comprehensive program for young athletes in the Werribee area. With a rich history dating back to 1970, WLAC has been a hub for children and families from Hoppers Crossing, Laverton, Point Cook, and other surrounding areas. The centre’s philosophy revolves around the core values of Little Athletics Victoria, focusing on “Family, Fun, and Fitness” while emphasizing individual self-improvement over winning.
WLAC provides a range of activities for over 300 Little Athletes weekly, including running, jumping, throwing, and walking. The centre is run by dedicated volunteers, with active family participation being a key component to ensure smooth competition days. As a Sports4all centre, WLAC’s officials, coaches, and committee members have undergone specialized training to enhance the overall athletic experience for participants.
From hosting introduction rounds to participating in regional and state events, Werribee Little Athletics Centre offers a dynamic and inclusive environment for young athletes to develop their skills and foster a love for sports. With a track located at Victoria University Wyndham Sporting Complex, WLAC continues to be a prominent member of the Western Metro Region, contributing to the vibrant athletic community in Victoria.
