Walter Williamson Park, formerly known as Central Park, is a beloved open space park located on Cooper Street in Maroubra, NSW. The park was renamed in honor of the late Walter Williamson OAM, a respected member of the Maroubra community for over 50 years. Mr. Williamson was recognized for his significant contributions to various community organizations and was the recipient of prestigious awards such as the Randwick Council Community Service Award, the Australian Sports Medal, and the Medal of the Order of Australia.
