Walter Williamson Park, formerly known as Central Park, is a beloved open space park located on Cooper Street in Maroubra, NSW. This expansive park features lush grassy areas, mature trees providing natural shade, and bench seating for visitors to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The park is equipped with a playground covered by a shade structure, complete with swings, climbing structures, slides, and platforms, as well as a soft-fall ground covering for safety. Surrounding the playground is a junior bike track, catering to bike, skate-board, and scooter enthusiasts.

The park was renamed in honor of the late Walter Williamson OAM, a respected member of the Maroubra community for over 50 years. Mr. Williamson was recognized for his significant contributions to various community organizations and was the recipient of prestigious awards such as the Randwick Council Community Service Award, the Australian Sports Medal, and the Medal of the Order of Australia. Walter Williamson Park stands as a tribute to his legacy and commitment to the local community.
