Tamilar Inc and Victorian School of Languages have joined forces to establish VSL/Tamilar Tamil School in Point Cook, offering Tamil classes for primary school students in Werribee and Lalor. The curriculum is designed in alignment with the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS), utilizing modern teaching methods by experienced tutors Sudha and Venkatesh. The classes incorporate a variety of multimedia resources such as flash games, audio, and video clips to enhance language learning.
With a focus on improving vocabulary and conversational skills, the classes at VSL/Tamilar Tamil School emphasize interactive learning through songs, drama, and engaging activities. Students also have access to an online portal where weekly course content is uploaded for convenient and secure access by both students and parents. The ultimate goal of the program is to prioritize spoken Tamil proficiency, followed by reading and writing skills development.

Established in 2011, Tamilar Inc aims to safeguard, promote, and enrich the classical Tamil language, tradition, and culture within the Melbourne community.
