Welcome to Townsville Outrigger Canoe Club! At TOCC, we are passionate about all things Outrigging – the sport, the people, the competition & the ocean. We believe that there is no better way to experience the beautiful waters of North Queensland than by being on the water, all while increasing our fitness, meeting new people & challenging yourself. We have a diverse membership base ranging from Opens right through to the Golden Masters.
The Townsville Outrigger Canoe Club Inc. (TOCC) introduced outrigger canoeing to Townsville in 1990, and remains a strong, competitive club in North Queensland. Since its foundation, TOCC has progressed from owning one old canoe to a fleet of modern and relatively new vessels to accommodate the ongoing growth and enthusiasm for paddling all types of craft. TOCC is affiliated with the Australian Outrigger Canoe Racing Association (AOCRA), the National Peak Body, and is one of the twenty clubs situated in the Northern Queensland Zone.
We are a community club and strive to provide opportunities for everyone to participate in healthy, safe, and inclusive outrigging activities in a fun, friendly environment. Our members actively compete in local and Northern Zone regattas, interstate, and international events. Whether you are keen for competition, making new friends, or trying something new, TOCC welcomes you!
