Nestled in the heart of our vibrant community, the Summit Sport and Recreation Park (SSRP) offers a range of sporting opportunities that cater to a diverse set of interests and skill levels. The park boasts two synthetic soccer pitches, premier Australian Rules and cricket oval, accompanied by clubrooms, facilities, and practice cricket nets. The SSRP is licensed to operate and schedule play at the facilities, promoting active participation and fostering sporting talent within our community.
The SSRP hosted the 2023 AFL Gather Round game between Brisbane Lions and North Melbourne Kangaroos, showcasing its capabilities as a top-tier sporting venue. Stage 1 of the SSRP was opened in April 2021, funded by various government bodies and sporting organizations. The park is available for hire when not in use by licensees, with hire fees contributing to covering costs such as electricity and grounds maintenance.
