Detailed Information

Richmond Neighbourhood Centre (RNC) is a vibrant community hub that provides spaces and opportunities for people to connect, contribute, and communicate. Formerly known as Richmond Community Learning Centre, RNC has rebranded with a new name, logo, and web address to better reflect its mission. Embracing a community development approach, RNC works closely with local residents to offer a diverse range of inclusive programs, activities, and events aimed at creating a stronger and more vibrant community.

At RNC, community members are encouraged to engage with one another through various events and initiatives. Whether it’s participating in classes, workshops, or community gatherings, RNC fosters a sense of belonging and togetherness among Richmond residents. The organization values input from the community and actively seeks ideas and feedback on programs and events to better serve the needs and interests of its members.

With a dedicated committee of passionate individuals, including Sally Markham, Nicholas Cody, Susan Gair, Michael Connell, and Judy Collett, RNC is governed by members who are deeply committed to supporting the local community. Through initiatives like the R U OK? DAY inspired printable card project, RNC encourages community members to show support and spread joy, especially during challenging times like the lockdown. By providing a friendly, fun, and creative platform for connection, RNC plays a vital role in enhancing community spirit and cohesion in Richmond.
