St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School Kogarah is a community of the heart – welcoming, inclusive and diverse. Committed and dedicated teachers ensure that students are at the center of everything they do. With a focus on student achievement and providing a range of opportunities for children to discover their passion and find their voice, the school fosters a positive growth culture where lifelong learning is valued, and students work collaboratively and creatively together.
Established in 1862, St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School Kogarah has a rich history of providing quality Catholic education for over 150 years. Initially led by the Sisters of Charity and then the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart, the school’s charism today is influenced by prayer, work, service to others, and trust in God. Since 1986, the school has been led by lay principals, working in partnership with the leadership team, teaching staff, and parish to create a bright and contemporary learning environment for students.
Modeling themselves on the likeness of their patron saint, St Patrick, the school community at St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School Kogarah aspires to be a community that prays and works together, striving to be the light of Christ for others. With Jesus at the center of all they do, inspired by St Mary of the Cross MacKillop and St Patrick, the school values celebrating their Catholic faith through prayer, liturgy, and the Sacraments. They work closely with the St Patrick’s Parish to uphold their Catholic traditions and create a warm and welcoming environment for all.
