Props Theatre is a progressive drama program offering 1-hour weekly classes for ages 5-21. The program includes improvisation techniques, mime essentials, soundtrack art, scripted plays, and specialized voice work training. With a focus on verbal communication and speech skills development, students are encouraged to commit to the program to reach their individual goals. The classes foster a positive and respectful environment where students can explore their creativity and build confidence.
Throughout the year, Props Theatre hosts performances at the Capital Theatre in Bendigo, showcasing the students’ talents. In addition to regular classes, the program offers opportunities for students to engage with industry professionals, participate in class excursions, and develop technical skills in backstage, lighting, and sound. The program aims to create a safe and supportive space for students to learn, grow, and appreciate the art of theatre.
With a strong emphasis on fun, friendship, and skill-building, Props Theatre provides a platform for students to not only excel on stage but also apply their performance skills to everyday life. By following guidelines from the Australian and Victoria State Governments, Props Theatre ensures a safe and compliant learning environment for all participants. Joining Props Theatre allows children to experience the joys of drama in a space designed specifically for their creative development.
