Port Macquarie Community Preschool – Annex is a community-based non-for-profit preschool located in Port Macquarie, Australia. Established in 1973, the preschool is owned and run by the community, with a strong focus on providing high-quality early childhood education and care for children aged between 3 and 6 years. Governed by a Board of Management consisting of elected parents/guardians and community representatives, the preschool is committed to creating a supportive learning environment that enriches children’s lives and expands their world through stimulating and caring educational experiences.
With two premises, including the larger center at Munster Street licensed for 60 children per day and the Annex at 3 Bagnoo Place licensed for 25 children per day, Port Macquarie Community Preschool offers a multi-age grouping approach to cater to the diverse needs of children. The preschool has been rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard under the National Quality Framework, emphasizing the importance of quality experiences for children’s present and future health, development, and well-being.
