Newcastle Birth Movement is a community project dedicated to supporting pregnant women, new mothers, and families through various services and events. Led by experienced facilitators, the project brings together birth doulas, educators, yoga teachers, massage therapists, midwives, nurses, and other professionals to create a warm and non-judgmental space for individuals to connect and receive support. Services include doula chats, birth planning sessions, birth library access, prenatal yoga, mums ‘n bubs programs, breastfeeding workshops, and postpartum support programs.
The project is spearheaded by Natalie Meade, a passionate and highly skilled hypnobirthing educator, who offers private birth education courses to empower families in their birthing journey. With a focus on providing personalized care and tailored support, Newcastle Birth Movement aims to help individuals navigate birth anxiety, fears, and birth trauma through counseling and education. The project also offers online resources and support for those unable to attend in person.
Through fundraising events and community engagement, Newcastle Birth Movement strives to make high-quality birth education accessible to all families. The project emphasizes self-help strategies for labor and birth, informed decision-making, breastfeeding support, infant care, and family relationship dynamics during the transition to parenthood. By fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, the project aims to empower individuals to have positive birth experiences and navigate the early stages of parenthood with confidence.
