Detailed Information

The National Communication Museum (NCM) is a collaborative facility that aims to be a hub for ideas and exchange. With a focus on inclusivity, the NCM has been designed with care to ensure accessibility for all visitors. Through smart architectural design and the incorporation of inclusive technology such as audio loops, Auslan interpretation, captions, and a wheelchair lift, the museum provides a welcoming environment for everyone.

Offering a Children’s Gallery and an extensive schools and education program catering to primary and secondary students, the NCM provides a diverse range of learning opportunities. School holiday programs are set to open from September, with a limited number of school bookings accepted for Term 4 this year. The museum encourages engagement with its resources through a collective knowledge bank, where visitors can explore ideas, links, articles, and fun facts leading up to the opening date.

Employment and volunteering opportunities will be available closer to the opening date, with listings on platforms such as ArtsHub and AMAGA. Donations are currently paused until the museum’s opening, and a public email address will be launched soon for inquiries. The NCM invites individuals and groups to stay updated on project developments, collection insights, and event invitations by subscribing to their weekly newsletter.
