Mountain District Learning Centre (MDLC) is a registered training organisation (RTO 3969), learn local centre, and neighbourhood house that has been serving the community since 1974. Originally established as Mountain District Women’s Co-operative Ltd, the organization has evolved to provide education, training, and a variety of activities in a supportive community setting. MDLC is committed to creating a safe, empowering, and respectful environment for all individuals, with a particular focus on supporting young people. Embracing diversity in all its forms, MDLC celebrates differences in race, culture, ability, gender, sexuality, and gender identity.

MDLC operates as a not-for-profit community-owned and run Adult Learning Centre, governed by an elected Board of Directors. The organization’s core values revolve around equity, access, and the principles of Australian Democracy.
