Detailed Information

Meadowbank Park Regional Playground and Splash Pad is a new project funded by the NSW Government through the Stronger Communities Fund. Located in Meadowbank, this regional playground is designed to be accessible and inclusive for children of all abilities and their carers. The playground features various play zones, picnic shelters, fixed seating, shade sails, and shade trees to create a safe and comfortable environment for visitors.

Adjacent to an existing skate park, the playground will have entry and exit points from Ross Smith Avenue, Constitution Road West, and the existing carpark on the western side of the park. The fenced design ensures a contained space for children to play freely. Additionally, the project includes the construction of a new amenities building on the eastern side of Meadowbank Park, serving as a hub for sporting user groups visiting the playground and adjacent sports fields. The building will offer essential facilities and services to enhance the overall visitor experience.

With a focus on accessibility and convenience, the playground design incorporates accessible parking spaces, pathway networks for easy connections to other park areas, and a minibus drop-off location off Ross Smith Avenue. The City of Ryde, acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land, aims to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all visitors, respecting the cultural heritage of the area. Meadowbank Park Regional Playground and Splash Pad is set to become a vibrant community hub that promotes outdoor recreation, social interaction, and family-friendly activities.
