Little Dreamers Australia is a leading Young Carer organization dedicated to supporting young individuals who provide unpaid care for family members affected by disability, chronic illness, mental health issues, addiction, or frail age. Since its establishment in 2009, Little Dreamers has been at the forefront of the Young Carer space, offering a range of direct support programs designed to enhance the quality of life for Young Carers across education, employment, mental and physical health, social well-being, and financial literacy.
Founded by a young carer herself, Little Dreamers has a deeply personal origin story, with the CEO identifying a gap in support for Young Carers at a young age. Over the years, the organization has impacted over 6,500 young people nationwide, delivering life-changing programs and services co-designed with young carers. Little Dreamers aims to break down barriers and empower youth, with a vision to ensure that every Young Carer worldwide receives the support they need by the year 2030.
Committed to inclusivity and community building, Little Dreamers embraces and uplifts members of LGBTIQA+ communities and pays respect to Australia’s First Nations people. As a registered charity, the organization continues to evolve and expand its reach, advocating for Young Carers, raising awareness, and providing tailored support to ensure that every young person in a caring role feels valued, supported, and empowered.
