Since 1949, Independent Schools Victoria (ISV) has been dedicated to diversity and choice in education. ISV champions independent schools as an essential pillar of the school education system in Victoria, alongside government and Catholic schools. With a membership of 222 independent schools operating on 372 campuses and educating over 160,000 students, ISV plays a crucial role in supporting the autonomy of its members and providing services, support, and advocacy to deliver the best possible education for all students.

With a dedicated team of school improvement advisors, ISV guides member schools through tailored improvement initiatives and helps them stay on top of accountability requirements and government funding.
Under the leadership of Acting Chief Executive Meg Hansen, ISV is governed by a board of directors comprising representatives from member schools.
