Finding Space is a therapy practice founded by Megan Buys, a registered counsellor and psychotherapist with a background in communication and counselling. Megan’s approach is integrative, creative, trauma-informed, and uplifting, focusing on providing a secure and non-judgemental space for clients to explore their true selves. The practice blends empowering modalities to offer support, guidance, and deep care to individuals seeking personal growth and healing.
In addition to Megan, Finding Space also features Lucienne, a provisional psychotherapist with a dynamic and trauma-informed approach. Lucienne specializes in helping clients with complex relationships to their bodies, offering support for issues such as body image, disordered eating, trauma, and relationship challenges. With a background in yoga, meditation, and somatic practices, Lucienne brings a holistic perspective to her therapeutic work, guiding clients towards a greater sense of peace and self-acceptance.
Finding Space is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all individuals, including LGBTQIA+, CALD/BIPOC, SW, and differently abled communities. The practice acknowledges and respects the traditional custodians of the land and is dedicated to learning from Indigenous healing practices. With a focus on individual-respecting and intersectional care, Finding Space aims to support clients on their unique journeys towards self-discovery, healing, and personal transformation.
