East End Childcare is an Aboriginal-owned service managed by NSW Aboriginal Safe Gambling Services, with a team composed entirely of Aboriginal staff. Led by Ashley Gordon, a respected figure in the Gambling Help sector with extensive experience working with over 200 Aboriginal communities across Australia, the organization focuses on addressing the impacts of gambling in Aboriginal communities. With a strong commitment to community education, awareness, and help-seeking, East End Childcare aims to improve the well-being of Aboriginal people through the delivery of successful programs and services.

Under the leadership of Ashley Gordon, East End Childcare offers a range of services tailored to Aboriginal communities in NSW. The GambleAware Aboriginal Service, managed by NSW Aboriginal Safe Gambling Services, targets Aboriginal communities and organizations across the state each year. With a long-term objective of developing and implementing gambling-related policies and programs that benefit Aboriginal people, the organization is dedicated to providing culturally appropriate support and resources to address gambling harms and promote safe gambling practices.

Bobbi, a proud Worimi and Dunghutti woman, and other dedicated team members like Prof. Nerilee Hing and Dr. Helen Breen, contribute their expertise to East End Childcare’s mission.
