Detailed Information

Diggies Cafe is a beloved establishment that first emerged in 2003 at Wollongong’s North Beach, following a meticulous restoration of the iconic 1930s Art Deco Kiosk by the local Crinis family. With a focus on serving fresh food and exceptional coffee infused with coastal vibes, Diggies quickly captured the hearts of local families, the vibrant North Beach community, and dedicated brunch enthusiasts. Co-founded by Stan Crinis, the cafe takes immense pride in offering top-quality, locally sourced produce while embodying a commitment to health, fitness, and the beauty of the beach, actively supporting and nourishing the Illawarra Community.

Over the years, Diggies has evolved into a Wollongong institution, expanding to a second venue that boasts breathtaking coastal views near the renowned Kiama Blowhole. The team at Diggies, now comprising over 90 like-minded individuals, shares a passion for fresh produce, creating memorable experiences, and delivering excellent service. The cafe’s inception stemmed from Stan Crinis’ deep connection to the ocean and sand of North Beach, coupled with his family’s longstanding legacy in selling fresh fruits and vegetables in Wollongong for more than four decades.

With a vision to create a hub for the active, creative, and inspiring beach community of North, Diggies encapsulates the essence of beach living – relaxed, breezy, sun-filled, and friendly. The culinary team, led by talented individuals like Sam and Lachie, brings a wealth of experience and a dedication to crafting dishes that highlight authentic, beautiful flavors. Diggies Cafe stands as a testament to a harmonious blend of passion for food, commitment to sustainability, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the best of the Illawarra region.
