Detailed Information

Carnegie Toy Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing over 2,000 toys for families to borrow, helping children learn through play. Our collection caters to children aged 6 months to 8 years, offering a wide range of high-quality educational and entertaining toys, as well as games and puzzles for the whole family to enjoy.

Operated by a committee of volunteer parent members, the toy library is funded through grants, fundraising, membership fees, and donations. Our daily operations rely on the dedication of volunteers who assist in various activities such as toy lending, toy cleaning, cataloging, and fundraising events.

Members have the opportunity to borrow a curated selection of toys and a puzzle or game for up to three weeks, with each member family required to provide 5 hours of volunteer service to the toy library annually. For those unable to volunteer, an option to pay a $100 duty waiver fee is available. Additionally, Carnegie Toy Library offers a range of party packs for rent, suitable for birthday parties and family gatherings, including large toys for children’s entertainment and children-sized chairs and tables.
