Established in April 2011, this purpose-built facility offers state-of-the-art resources for clinical education and research. The School brings together expert medical teachers to provide outstanding opportunities for students to learn and practice essential clinical skills in a safe and simulated environment before entering real-world medical settings.

The Research Centre within the facility houses staff working on clinical trials, equipped with dry lab space and extensive wet laboratory facilities. The Clinical Skills Lab features simulation manikins to facilitate hands-on learning experiences in areas such as resuscitation, venipuncture, and cannulation. With tutorial rooms, an auditorium, office space, and a hospital library, the Clinical School provides a supportive environment for students, fostering high morale and collaboration among the administrative team, doctors, and nursing staff.

Professor Clare Pollock, the Interim Vice-Chancellor and President at Western Sydney University, leads the institution with a wealth of experience in higher education and a background in psychology research. Under her leadership, the Clinical School & Research Centre at Blacktown/Mt Druitt Hospital continues to offer exceptional educational opportunities and cutting-edge research facilities to shape the future of healthcare professionals in Australia.
