The Centre for Early Education (CEEd) at Ballarat Grammar is a purpose-built facility offering bright, natural, and interactive learning spaces for children aged 6 months to 5 years. With a strong focus on community, the CEEd nurtures a sense of belonging for children, families, and educators alike. Drawing inspiration from the Reggio Emilia educational approach, nature pedagogy, and positive psychology, the CEEd’s philosophy emphasizes the strength, creativity, and competence of young children, aiming to foster character development and overall well-being alongside academic success.
Aligned with the Ballarat Grammar Learning Philosophy and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, the CEEd curriculum is designed to provide high-quality educational opportunities for children. Through purposeful play, the CEEd aims to engage children in meaningful learning experiences that promote happiness, challenge, safety, and independence. The Bush Kinder Program, specialist art and music lessons, and cross-age learning opportunities with the Ballarat Grammar Junior and Senior Schools further enrich the educational offerings at the CEEd.
As part of the Ballarat Grammar community, the CEEd benefits from a holistic approach to education that focuses on preparing children for the future, fostering a love for learning, and building essential skills for lifelong success. With a team of dedicated and experienced early childhood educators, the CEEd is committed to supporting each child in reaching their full potential as early learners. Through a range of programs and a strong emphasis on collaboration with families, the CEEd creates a nurturing environment where children can thrive and grow.
