Ashmore Community Children’s Centre is a small, community-based child care center located in Gold Coast, Australia. Established in 1986, the center has been providing high-quality care to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years for over 30 years. With a maximum capacity of 44 children per day, the center prides itself on fostering close personal relationships between educators, staff, children, and their families.
The center’s philosophy revolves around creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that is play-based and focuses on each child’s individual potential. Through a curriculum that aligns with the National Early Years Learning Framework, the center encourages children to explore their interests, take risks, and become enthusiastic learners. The menu, approved by Nutrition Australia, ensures that children receive healthy and nutritious meals prepared on-site by dedicated cooks.
Managed by a volunteer Parent Management Committee, Ashmore Community Children’s Centre values parental involvement and expertise in shaping the center’s direction. The center offers a range of interactive programs, including Incursions, Sport, and the Abecedarian Approach – 3A, which prioritizes children’s language acquisition. By fostering respectful relationships with families and the community, the center aims to provide a warm and supportive environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.
