ACT Memorial was commissioned by the ACT Government to honor individuals associated with the ACT who have served in various capacities, including war, conflict, peacekeeping, and humanitarian missions. Designed and constructed by Canberra artist Matthew Harding, the memorial incorporates elements symbolizing these roles and the overarching goal of peace. It serves as a place for remembrance and contemplation, featuring a stainless steel spiral surrounding a bluestone basalt sphere etched with words like Courage, Loyalty, and Mateship.
