Dubbo and District Preschool is a community-based non-profit organization that has been providing quality early childhood education for over 60 years. Established in 1962 by The Lions Club of Dubbo, the preschool has evolved over the years with additions funded by government support and community donations. With a focus on building a stronger community through education, the preschool is licensed for 100 children per session aged between 3 and 6 years, spread across 5 classrooms. In 2010, Buninyong Preschool was incorporated into Dubbo and District Preschool to cater to the needs of children in the local area attending Buninyong Public School. Licensed, approved, and funded by The Department of Education and Communities, the preschool has expanded its services from operating 3 days a week to 5 days a week to meet the growing community demands. Buninyong Preschool, with a capacity for 25 children per session, provides a nurturing environment for children aged 3 to 6 years, emphasizing play, learning, creativity, and imagination. The preschool’s rich history, tradition, and strong connections with families and the community underscore its commitment to early childhood development.
