Southern Cross Archery Club is an outdoor archery club located on Pennel Reserve in Braybrook, in Melbourne’s inner west. Established in the 1940s and formerly based in Footscray; Southern Cross Archery Club provides a cosy, social environment for people to experience archery. The club offers a range of services and activities for both experienced archers and those new to the sport, including Come ‘N’ Try sessions with equipment provided, regular training, and events for members.
The club facilities include an outdoor range suitable for up to 90m distances, indoor shooting with tuning workbenches, bow maintenance tools, and bow storage in the main clubhouse space. Additionally, the club provides targets with replaceable parts as needed. Members of the club are knowledgeable and willing to offer expert advice on various aspects of archery, whether it’s related to compound bows, recurve bows, or general inquiries.
