The Adelaide Wing Chun Academy focuses on delivering the traditional principles of the art of Wing Chun with contemporary application. Founded in 2013 by Sifu Tony Psaila, Sifu Damian Rainer, and Instructor Heath Gibbons, the Academy offers a friendly and supportive environment for individuals of all ages, genders, and fitness levels. With a focus on holistic development for the mind and body, the Academy helps students improve their self-defense skills, fitness, coordination, concentration, and overall confidence through the practice of Wing Chun Kung Fu.

Following the teachings of Grandmaster Chu Shong Tin and Jim Fung, the Adelaide Wing Chun Academy is dedicated to providing a deeper understanding of this effective martial art system. Recognized by the Ving Tsun Athletic Association Hong Kong, Sifu Tony and Sifu Damian regularly travel to Hong Kong to train with Grandmaster Chu Shong Tin and the wider Wing Chun community. As a member of the Australian Wing Chun Federation, the Academy maintains its connection to Grandmaster Jim Fung’s original school, ensuring a rich lineage and tradition in their teachings.

In addition to adult classes, the Academy offers specialized programs for children, such as the “Dragons Club,” designed to teach self-defense based on Wing Chun concepts to children aged 5 to 12. With experienced instructors who hold qualifications in sports coaching and first aid, the Dragons Club aims to equip children with foundational skills for a confident and healthy lifestyle. Sifu Tony Psaila and Sifu Damian Rainer, with their extensive experience and dedication to Wing Chun, continue to share their knowledge and passion for the art with students in Adelaide and beyond.
