Detailed Information

Masonic Oval & Park, located in Baulkham Hills, has a rich history dating back to the early 20th century when it was established by the Freemasons as a charity devoted to providing homes for orphaned or disadvantaged children. The property features two single sports fields with synthetic cricket pitches, ideal for local lower-level sports such as touch football in the summer and soccer in the winter. The heritage-listed site includes original school buildings, a War Memorial paying tribute to former students who served in wars, and various historic elements like a memorial tree avenue and fishpond.

Over the years, Masonic Oval & Park has evolved into a community hub where many of the historic buildings are now hired by local groups for various activities. The property’s serene surroundings and well-maintained facilities make it a popular choice for events and gatherings. The business continues to honor its roots by acknowledging the Dharug people as the original custodians of the land and paying respects to ancestors and Elders, past and present.

Currently, the site is undergoing upgrades to improve traffic flow and safety at the intersection of Edwards and Annangrove Road in Box Hill/Rouse Hill. The construction project, managed by The Hills Shire Council, involves extensive service utility relocations and the installation of a roundabout to address traffic congestion issues. Despite the temporary disruptions caused by the construction work, the community’s patience and understanding are appreciated as the project aims to enhance the overall experience for visitors and residents alike.
