Sporteka Kids is Australia’s first multi-sport and Tennis program designed specifically for toddlers and preschoolers. Founded in 2002 by Fatima Tawfek, a community development professional and Tennis Australia qualified coach, Sporteka aims to help young children develop fundamental motor and eye-hand coordination skills in a nurturing environment. The program offers two distinct programs: a Multisport program introducing children to 11 different sports, and an indoor Tennis program for children as young as 3 years old.
With a focus on building character through sport and addressing childhood obesity and self-esteem issues, Sporteka is dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle and preparing children for future participation in school and club sports. The program is based on extensive local and international research, as well as practical experience working with hundreds of children over the years. Sporteka’s philosophy is centered around fostering confidence, self-esteem, and social skills in children, while providing a family-friendly sports program that caters to the needs of busy parents, nursing mothers, grandparents, and carers.
Led by a team of experienced professionals, including Kay Margetts, Associate Professor of Early Childhood Development at the University of Melbourne, Sporteka Kids offers a unique blend of fun, learning, and skill development in a variety of sports. By emphasizing the importance of early experiences in shaping a child’s future development, Sporteka provides a supportive and engaging environment where children can thrive physically, emotionally, and socially. Whether your child is interested in Tennis or exploring different sports, Sporteka is committed to guiding them on their journey towards physical competence, championship potential, and lifelong health.
