Rockhampton South Kindergarten is a unique center located adjacent to the picturesque Rockhampton Botanical Gardens. The dedicated team of experienced staff draws inspiration from the lush natural surroundings to create a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and thrive. Affiliated with the Crèche and Kindergarten Association of Queensland, the center operates under the Education and Care Services National Law Act and Regulations, ensuring high-quality early childhood education.
With a focus on play-based learning, Rockhampton South Kindergarten aims to enhance the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of every child. As a community-based, non-profit center overseen by a volunteer parent management committee, all profits are reinvested into improving the center and its resources. Family involvement is highly encouraged, fostering a welcoming and supportive atmosphere within the Rockhampton South Kindergarten Community.
The Kindergarten program aligns with Queensland school terms and caters to a group of up to 25 children who are turning four years of age by the end of July. Led by a university-qualified educator and supported by experienced assistants, such as Miss Allison who recently celebrated 30 years with the center, Rockhampton South Kindergarten is committed to building positive and rewarding partnerships with each family it serves.
