Kidz Place Early Learning Centre is a long-standing establishment in the Hills District, having opened its doors in 1943 as the first private Preschool in the area. Over the years, it has evolved to include a Long Day Care Nursery licensed for 45 children per day. As a small family-owned childcare facility, Kidz Place prides itself on creating a nurturing and personalized environment for children and their families, embodying the motto “your extended family.” The centre comprises two separate buildings, the Mainhouse catering to children aged 0-3 years and the purpose-built Preschool for 3-5 year olds.
Within the Mainhouse, children are divided into age-appropriate rooms – Buzzy Bees for 0-2 year olds and Curious Caterpillars for 2-3 year olds. These spaces are designed to offer a homely and comforting atmosphere, with the centre’s kitchen and administration office also located in this building. The Preschool features open-plan classrooms for the Zebras Room (3-4 year olds) and Giraffes Room (4-5 year olds), ensuring that children have access to age-specific learning environments and activities. Surrounded by naturally shaded gardens, Kidz Place ELC provides a safe and engaging outdoor space for children to explore and play. The backyard boasts various amenities such as a recycled music wall, dinosaur garden, cubby house, sandpit, and a mud kitchen, encouraging healthy outdoor activities and imaginative play. Additionally, the centre’s vegetable garden serves as an educational tool to teach children about nutrition and gardening practices.
