The Grange Community Centre (GCC) in Hoppers Crossing is a vibrant hub offering a wide range of programs and services to over 1200 individuals weekly. Established in 1993 with government funding, GCC has evolved from a children’s services center to a community center catering to diverse needs. The center’s facilities include community rooms, meeting spaces, kindergarten rooms, playgrounds, and maternal & child health rooms, reflecting its commitment to supporting the local community.
With a focus on lifelong learning, GCC provides opportunities for childcare, playgroups, health and wellbeing workshops, community gatherings, and events. The center’s expansion in 2019, supported by the Growing Suburbs Fund and Wyndham City Council, added new community rooms and a welcoming reception area. GCC’s affiliation with the Australian Neighbourhood Houses and Centres Association enables access to tax-deductible donations, supporting the expansion of programs and services to assist those in need.
Committed to child safety and cultural respect, GCC acknowledges the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation as Traditional Custodians of the land. The center’s philosophy centers on inclusivity, accessibility, and fun, ensuring that individuals of all ages can engage in enriching activities and community support. By offering a variety of programs and services, GCC continues to play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and learning opportunities for the local community.
